According to Information Provided by DOD, hundreds of Exposed Veterans Still Not Notified of Sodium Chromate Exposure

According “to information provided to U.S. Sen. Robert C. Byrd by the U.S. Defense Department, more than 1,100 soldiers, including members of the West Virginia National Guard were likely exposed to a highly toxic chemical in southern Iraq in 2003.”
“The Department of Defense has confirmed contact with 863”, “260 have enrolled in a registry that helps track soldiers with possible exposure, and 154 have undergone medical exams.”

So there are hundreds that have not been contacted and hundreds more that have not had medical evaluations.

So anyone knows of a soldier or veterans that worked at or participated in work at the Qarmat Ali water plant outside Basra, please ask them to check with their own health provider and contact the Department of Defense.
